Tsiknopempti!!!

So yesterday was Tsiknopempti (compound word originating from the words tsikna — the smell of roast food and Pempti — Thursday) ~ taken from wikipedia ~
which is basically the official start for the carnival fest (something like Halloween) here in Greece.
I went out with my friends, dressed up as a 1940's pin-up girl, and had an amazing time.

This is the look i went for, a classic pin-up look with the signature hairstyle:

MAC SFF in NW20
MAC studio finish concealer in NW15 as an under eye concealer
MAC studio sculpt concealer in NW20 on blemishes
Manhattan Compact powder in 1

Eyes:
Dior Jazzclub Palette in No1 the light brown colour to fill and darken my eyebrows
MAC e/s in Vanilla all over the lid up to the eyebrow arch
MAC e/s in Gesso on archbone
Dior Jazz palette in No1 the light brown colour as a contour on the crease
L'oreal Paris eyeliner in Carbon Gloss
Random eyelashes from Hondos Center(a greek version of Boots)in Natural
MaxFactor False Lash Effect mascara in Black
MUFE kohl liner in white on waterline and under the flick to intensify
Erre Due eyeliner pencil in Black for the mole

Cheeks:
MAC blush in Pinch O' Peach

Lips:
MAC lip pencil in Auburn to shape the lips
Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick in No14/Passion





What I wore:


White/creme lace dress by Primark
black tights by Calzedonia
black flats from a shop in Athens(intended to go for heels but my feet would be in pain after a couple of hours so...)

So, yeah this is it. I surely enjoyed being a 40s pin-up for a few hours and had a FANTASTIC time!

New Years Eve Look

So sorry i've abandoned the blog for a week but i've been really busy with Christmas shopping, making arrangements and generally having a fantastic time with my friends.
Yeah it's true, New Years is a bigger celebration than Christmas in Europe(even more in Greece)

So i had dinner with my family and then went out with my friends dancing the night away. It was great although sleeping at 6:30 am is not good :P

So this is what my make up looked like. I didn't overdo it because i just thought it didn't go well with the dress and stuff and being a neutral freak like me that was a good excuse.

mac nylon e/s on the lid and inner corner
mac satin taupe e/s on the crease and outter corner
erre deu eyeliner pencil in black on the water line and lower lash line
l'oreal eyeliner in garbon gloss on upper lashline
max factor falsh lash effect mascara in black on top of
maybelline's volum' express mascara in black


Cheeks:
mac blusher in harmony to contour
mac blusher in daft pink

Lips:
mac l/s in cherish
chanel aqualuminiere lipgloss in 66/Freeze

PRAGUE!

So yes! The time has come. I'm going to Prague in 4 hours to be precise! So super excited! I will stay there for 7 days thus i won't be able to update my blog!
