Summer favourites!

Hello beautiful people!

It feels so invigorating to be back! This time, yesterday being the summer solstice, I thought it'd be the pefect time to talk about my current favourite products for summer! There's lots of skincare this time, but I truly rely on these, to maintain the moisture in to my skin and feel glowy and healthy during this BOILING weather!

 photo DSC00285editedCustom_zpsb08d4a7b.jpg

1.Garnier bodycocoon body milk
This is an old love. I used to use this when I was younger, and I absolutely LOVED it! You can imagine my excitement when I spotted it at my local HC for the price of 3E! It was an absolute bargain! It smells amazing, the typical, "vintage" Garnier fruity scent! As far as moisturising goes, it does a wonderful job at keeping my skin hydrated, while it doesn't feel greasy, is quite light and absorbs fairly quickly!

2.Bioten Silky Radiance body lotion with cocoa butter and Macadamia oil*
First things first. This smells AMAZEBALLS. Chocolate mixed with caramel and mocha. I am literally holding myself from eating it! It is aimed at normal to dry skin. It moisturises so well, and the scent stays on for hours and hours! I literally apply this in the morning, and when I get back from work I can still smell it! The thing about it that I love the most is that, whilst being a lotion, it still has got a thick consistency that hydrates the skin really well. I use this when I feel like I've got particularly dehydrated skin, but it's summer so I can't really use a body butter, as it's going to melt in an instant! I am really liking this baby! Please if you get a chance, just give this a SNIFF and you'll be hooked for months and months to come! :D

3.MAC Mineralize blush in Rhapsody in Two (LE)
I think I've talked about this before. I got in a few years ago from a collection I can't remember the name of. It was love at first time! It's so shimmery and pretty I can't take it. If you don't like shimmer in your make you you should probably stay away from this. Its got gold and pink shimmers in it. The pigmentation is not great, I wouldn't use this as a blush in its own, but rather as a finishing touch as it gived the most gorgeous glow you have ever seen!

4.NYX blush in Natural
This is such a pretty basic matte pink! I usually wear this during days where I wake up really early and can't be arsed to apply much make up! The texture of this is extraordinary! So smooth and it blends out perfectly! I am actually ready to go and buy a bunch of other NYX blushes to see if they are the same! It is quite affordable to which makes it even better!

5.The Body Shop Coconut shimmering body lotion
I also have the butter version of this, but like I said before, body butters during summer are a no-no for me. This on the other hand, is extremely moisturising, very light and has that awesome coconut scent that we all have grown to love! It is my second bottle of this and it always reminds me of summer, 'cause thats when I mostly use it.

6.Stila Convertible Color in Gerbera
I've had this for a long time and there's still so much product to use. It's a gorgeous pastel coraly pink! It stays on for hours and gives and incredible glow. Too bad I can't purchase stila here anymore, but I guess I will find more if these babies online! You can also use this on your lips, but mine are a bit too dry and this doesn't suit me as much! Nevertheless, it's texture is amazing and a little bit goes a long way. Such a gem in my collection!

7.Garnier Ambre Solaire Golden Protect sunscreen spf30
I got this for the first time last year and I loved it so much I got it again! It smells like cococunt and doesn't let me burn. Can you imagine that? It is not greasy at all, absorbs instantly and has shimmer! What more can I ask? I am thinking there might be an Ambre Solaire for the face as well and I am definitely getting it! See my full review on this here.

8.Oriflame wonderlash dramatize mascara
I have been really liking this mascara for the past few weeks that I've been using it! It really elongates your lashes while making them look fuller and SO black! One of the best mascaras that I've used recently, plus it's quite affordable too! I can wear it during the day on the top lashes only or if I want a more dramatic look, top and bottom and we're good to go!

9.Vichy Dermablend Concealer
I am in love with this. I use it every single day, even when I'm not in the mood to apply make up and just want to conceal my dark circles or a blemish. It is not cakey and just the right colour for me to highlight any dark areas, while it still is quite concealing! It is truly one of the best purchases I made during 2013!

10.Maybelline Diamond Effect Palette in Coral Drama*
This is probably my favourite Diamond Glow eyeshadow pallete out of the four. It does have pretty gold and corally colours which makes it perfect for summer. It's even got a darker plum colour to darken the crease or to extentuate the lash line!

 photo DSC00297editedCustom_zpsf7faff15.jpg

11.Dior Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm
This is my third tube of this. At 24E for a lip balm, it doesn't come cheap but it does wonders! It is supposed to adapt to your natural lip colour , so you have something unique according to your lips' pigmentation. The balsam in it protects and hydrates your lips like no other!

12.Maybelline Dream Mousse blush in Brown
This mousse is something I;ve never experienced before. I first I was confused as to how to use it, cause when you apply it, it instantly tranformes into powder. You have to be really quick about it. Thi particular colour I really like to make me look tanner while still providing some pop of colour with the orange in it. I am interested in trying a few more of these.

13.Noxema Derma Clinic deodorant
I know, it is quite odd to put a deodorant in a favourites post but seriously, this is incredible! It smells like apricots and stays on for HOURS. One negative tough is that it leaves white marks if you're not careful. I have to shake it really well and apply it from a distance. If I could have this for a perfume I would definitely buy it!

14.MAC Mineralize eyeshadow in Heat Element
I rediscovered my love for this. One half is gold the other bronze. It is such a great combination, especially for summer. The great thing about MAC's mineralize eyeshadows is that you can apply them with a wet brush to have a more intense effect or to apply like like an eyeliner! I am not sure if this is still available, so I use it with caution, 'cause I don't want to run out!

 photo DSC00295editedCustom_zps1cc09d95.jpg

15.Balea body scrub with Indian Chai
This is an incredible body scrub my best friend got me from Germany and I've heard that Balea is quite famour there! I'm not saying much, 'cause I'll post a full review of this shortly, but just one thing: It smells like a DREAM!

16.Avon blemish clearing facial scrub
This is the one facial scrub that works best with my skin. It feels so invogorating and freshens up my skin perfectly. Now with all the heat and stuff it is truly a saviour! Read more about it here.

17.Garnier Beauty Oil*
I am not really into body oils during summer for the simple fact that they leave residue behind. This is different though. It absorbs fairly quickly, is not greasy and smells like paradise. I even apply this sometime on the ends of my hair just to make them smell(even more) beautiful! Review about this is on its way!

18.Pom Pom make up removal wipes
I don't usually prefer wipes but things have been very hectic recently and I had to remove my make up wuickly before I headed to sleep. I have a thing with wipes. Most of them seem very harsh on my skin and they irritate it like hell! These are very soft and wet and they effectively remove make up, even the most stubborn traces of mascara! TRUE LOVE, my dear!

19.Narsya body butter with Orchid & Cotton
Ok, I know I said before that I don't like using body butters during summer but this is an exception! It has got a very light consistency and absorbs instantly! I got it when I was on holiday in Bansko, it was cheap as chips and I feel amazed at how good this is! It smells incredible! I wish I could somehow back this up! I mostly use it when I get out of the shower! It is also great for when I shave as it doesn't irritate my skin at all!

This was quite a long post guys, but there were so many things that I wanted to talk about with you! Have you tried any of these? If so, do you like them? Let me know!
Now it's better to go and cool away by a pool or beach, right! Hope you're well!

Weekend FOTD #4

What a gorgeous weekend this is! I'm feeling happy and inspired even though work has tired me quite a bit!
For this weekend's FoTD I felt like bronzing it up! A generous amount of self-tanner as well as bronzer did the trick! Too bad the lighting is horrible and you can't see the colours the way they really are! And well, of course, I had to pair it with a bright red lip! Matte was not an option, so I went for something glossier!

I tried to take a good picture just to show you how beautiful the combo of Quarry and Brule is...but I failed! Here's the best I could do! The colours look more intense and prettier in real life!

MAC lipstick in Impassioned

Aloha!
The sun is out much more often these days, which makes me want to incorporate brighter colours to my make up! Corals, peaches, hot pinks and fuschias are on the highway!!! This time, I'm going to talk about one of the most gorgeous and unusual colours that I own: MAC's Impassioned lipstick!

 photo P3030773Customedited_zpse2215148.jpg

Impassioned is a very intense, ultra-pigmented, in-your-face, watermelon pink, with a fuchsia undertone. I cannot describe it quite well. It is not a true pink, and most definitelt not a true red. It is an in-between colour. It is neither warm nor cool-toned, so I believe all skintones can suit this. It goes really well with my super pale skin, but looks equally as beautiful on tanned skin.
It has an amplified finish, which I like even more than cremesheens! Vegas Volt is an amplified too, but I find Impassioned to be a bit more moisturising to my lips. Its staying power is truly amazing. Of course, if you're out for drinks and stuff it is eventually going to fade, but it will leave your lips with a lovely just-bitten/rasberry colour!

 photo macedited_zps444277a4.jpg

I would really recommend you to go and check this out, even though I think that it stands out on its own at MAC counters. It is simply beautiful worn either in winter or summer!!

Have you girls got this? Do you like it?

Review: MAC Ruby Woo lipstick.

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!
I know that the festivities are over, but if there's one thing I discovered during December, it's my love for red lipstick. So just before 2012 came to an end, I gave in and got Ruby Woo. Another red to add to my humble collection of red lipsticks...

Photobucket
Photobucket

Ruby Woo is described as a blue-based red with a matte finish and nearly opaque colour coverage. To me, it looks more neutral than Russian Red, for example. Russian Red is surely deeper and more blue-toned that Ruby Woo. The thing about it is that, it's super matte which can be super drying, so prep your lips with a primer or a lip balm before you apply it. I have seriously dry lips but with a lip balm underneath Ruby Woo bears no pain :)

What really surprised me though, is the longevity of this lipstick! I wore it on New Year's Eve where there was lots of drinking, dancing, smoking, even sweating(AND eating!) involved and it didn't streak, not even fade after 6 hours of wear! This makes it the most long-lasting lipstick I've ever came across. It's even better than a lip-stain!

Overall, Ruby Woo lives up to its fame, it's a classic retro red that most likely suits any skin tone. To me it's heaven, because I love the combination of pale skin, blue eyes and red lips. If you ever pass by a MAC counter, check it out!

Have you managed to get your hands on this lipstick? What do you think?

SUMMER MUST HAVE: MAC PIGMENT IN MELON

Hello everyone!
I hope you're all doing alright! Due to personal problems and my finals which are beginning next week, blogging wasn't my top priority and I want to apologize for that!

So, rearranging my stash, I actually discovered some pretty amazing products which I seem to have forgotten over the past year. I couldn't help myself but post about this MAC pigment for you guys, just to express how much I'm currently in LOVE with it!

Photobucket

Melon pigment is described as a soft bright golden peach on MAC's website and I think that is the perfect description for it. When it hits the light it reflects into this gorgeous gold and then it contrasts into a lovely warm peach!
Depending on your skintone, I find that this may appear a bit different on your skin. Skins with pink undertones may bring out the peachy-ness, while skins with yellow undertones are more likely to bring out the golden side of it. Also, depending on how dark or fair your skintone is, it may alternate the appearance. In fairer skintones, it may look more peachy-orangey. I have NW20 skin and it applies true to its colour on the lid! On darker skintones the peachy tones may fade a little bit more. I have also noticed, that this has some detectable chunks of shimmer, compared to other MAC pigments, say Vanilla or Teal, but it doesn't look tacky, so I don't mind whatsoever.
Photobucket
Overall, I love using this on its own as a wash of colour, over other eyeshadows, as a base, heck when I'm tanned, even as a highlighter. It sure is a beautiful colour, and now that summer is here, I would highly recommend you girls to at least go to your nearest MAC store and check this out. It's well worth the try!

What do you think of the pigment? Have any of you tried it? I would love to know :)

BLUSH of the moment !!!

Photobucket

Hello beauties!
Hope you're all doing alright! Things are getting a bit better over here so I wanted to make a post about a product that, I literally wore every single day during January.
That is MAC's Margin blusher, of course!

On the website, it's described as a peach with gold shimmer, but I would describe it as muted peach with beige shimmer running through it. It is such a lovely colour that, I believe, suits every skin tone and is perfect for every day.
It has got the most amazing sheen, the shimmer in it is so fine that it looks like it gives an inner glow rather than some glitter ball effect on your face. I highly, HIGHLY recommend everyone to, at least, go and check it out as it may seem a bit boring on the pan and wouldn't necessarily be the one to catch your eye, but it's such a pretty and chic colour!!!

Margin swatched, and blended on the right

I have no idea why this wasn't in my collection earlier, it definitely was something that I REALLY wanted from my Christmas wishlist and it's surely worth its price. So here it is, in its full glory!

Have you girl tried it? If so what do you think?

Have a wonderful week!

november favourites '11

Photobucket

Hello everyone!

So this is what I've been using the most for the month of November. Make-up wise, It wasn't that interesting as I kept it really simple for Uni etc. Quite basic, every day make up.

1. L'Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray.
Nothing more to say. Does the job perfectly and smells amazing.

2.Oriflame Essentials Revitalising face cream for normal skin.
I was not as impressed with the one for oily skin which I got in the summer but this one seems better and moisturises my skin quite well. I am willing to buy the one aimed at dry skin to try it out as my skin gets drier during winter.

3.Garnier Intensive 7 Days Repairing Lotion with Shea Butter for Extra-Dry Skin.
Wow, that's a mouthful. Well, I've been loving my BS body butters but this little baby has been helping me moisturise my skin every night, after I get out of the shower. It does the job perfectly and leaves my extremely dry skin moisturised and baby smooth. Plus, the scent is AMAZING!

4.White Musk Eau de Parfum.
I remember sniffing this when I was 13 and immediately falling in love with it. Now, six years later it still remains as one of the most beautiful scents that I ever smelt, and I always make sure that I have one bottle of this on my drawer.

Top notes: velvety musk, floral lily and sensual ylang ylang with hints of fresh galbanum and basil.
Middle notes: velvety musk, oriental jasmine, floral lily and rose.
Base notes: velvety musk, oriental jasmine, floral lily and iris, rose, sweet vanilla, fresh amber, patchouli, oakmoss and vetiver with hints of fruity peach.

5.MAC Strobe Cream.
It has been a favourite for quite some time now. I absolutely LOVE this. I recommend everyone to go and buy it. It's got the perfect sheen. I sometimes use it as a highlighter but most of the time I like using it with my foundation, especially with the one mentioned below.

6.Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation.
I love that it's full coverage, yet does not look cakey at all. It's not matte and it gives a lovely glow to my face, when i first got it I thought it was like a porcelain doll's skin. And I also love the shade (52) It suits my skintone exactly.

7.MAC cream blush in Posey.
In the close up it looks lighter and slightly more peachier.(no idea why)
It's a lovely rosey peach that looks awesome if you fancy some pop of colour to your cheeks. And not to forget, because it's a cream product, it leaves a lovely sheen on the cheeks.

Photobucket

8.Nail Varnishes.
Essie in Trombone: a true blue toned red
Essie in Berry Hard: a true burgundy/burdeaux
Erre Due last minute in 31: a lovely yellow toned/tomato-ey red

Marie Claire & GLAMOUR freebies

Hello, my beauties,
hope you're having a wonderful start of the week :)

So me and my sister were strolling around town today and I always had in mind to get the December Marie Claire and GLAMOUR issues as they had lovely freebies! And look what I got :

Photobucket

Photobucket

I was overwhelmed with the freebies I got off Marie Claire! Apart from the gorgeous blue-toned red nail polish in Trombone they gave away a handful of other samples such as the new Korres cream against wrinkles, Vichy's new liftactiv serum 10, Palmolive's shower milk with Black Orchid & moisturising milk, Nestle's Le Chocolat cocoa powder and TWO samples of L'Oreal's Revitalift total repair moisturising cream! Bargain at only 5,90E.

Photobucket

GLAMOUR had a full sized Rainbow Priorities Blush which to be honest, I'm not really keen on as it's too dark and browny for me, but I'll give it a try! Anyway, this is not the reason I got GLAMOUR magazine, it's because every December issue has a GLAMOUR discount card, which has lovely discounts in some of my favourite stores :)

My early Christmas Wishlist

Hello beautiful girlies!

Today I am doing a post showing you all my Christmas wishlist! I know it's a bit early, but on the other hand, it's never too early for the Christmas cheer, is it?
The shops are slowly starting to wear their Christmas attire and it's so beautiful walking down the streets along with twinkling lights and beautiful Christmassy decorations! I always get very cheery(and may I add, silly) at Christmas!
This blogpost was inspired by the ever-so-lovely Evi from CBSG5861.

1.MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation

Photobucket

I've been laying my eyes on this foundation for quite a few months and it's definitely something that I really, like desperately(how sad), need for Christmas. It's medium to full coverage and it is said to leave a dewy finish on the skin.

2.Dior Amber Diamond Highlighter
Photobucket

I can't stress how much I want to try this product, everywhere I read reviews with positive feedback. The price puts me off, but I guess it's worth it and will last me quite some time!

3.Soleil Tan de Chanel
Photobucket

I don't do bronzer during winter, even though I like using bronzes and golds on my eyes and stuff, but I usually get quite pale, which I like and am trying to embrace. Nevertheless, I think I'm making an exception this winter ;)

4.MAC blush in Margin
Photobucket

There is no logical reason why I haven't got this yet. It's a neutral, pinky peach shimmering blush, great for everyday use. I guess I always thought to 'buy this later' as I have far too many everyday blushes and looked for more vibrant colours, but this, I'm definitely getting this winter!

5.Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara
Photobucket

Lancome do the best High End mascaras in my opinion. They really do. They don't come cheap, retailing at 30E but when I got my first Lancome Hypnose mascara when I was 16, I was astonished with the results! I need a new High End mascara at the moment and what's a better option than the one that took all the hype by beauty editors this winter?

6.MAC lipstick in Shygirl
Photobucket

I went to get this one a year ago but it was out of stock so the make up lady recommended Ravishing as a closer match so I got that. I, frankly, forgot about it but Viviana from Vivianadoesmakeup raves about it all the time, so I'm looking forward to adding this in my make up collection :)

7.Estee Lauder Daywear moisturiser
Photobucket

I've had this before, It's one of my favourite moisturisers. A bit expensive but does the job brilliantly.

8.Essie Winter 2011 collection
Photobucket

I'm really liking the colour palette of this collection, Cocktail Bling, School of Hard Rocks and Size Matters are my favourite colours!

9.Alien by Thierry Muggler perfume

Photobucket

My favourite ever perfume, haven't smelled anything more addicting than that. I've ran out of this a few months ago and haven't repurchased ever since 'cause the Thierry Muggler perfumes are quite expensive. Wishing someone is 'amazing' enough to get this for me at Christmas!

10.Eternity by Calvin Klein
Photobucket

My mom used to wear this all the time when I was little, now she switched perfumes but I'm always euphoric when I detect someone wearing this perfume. The perfect floral scent. It's quite affordable, for its size, 50E for a 100ml bottle. So Christmas perfume: check!

11.Jeffrey Cambell Lita Shoes
Photobucket

These will always be on my wishlist, they are pricey at about 300-something E and are always out of stock on the website!

12.Zara bags: The Plaited Shopper bag in Brown and the Large Shopper in Black

Photobucket

I'm doing my research on getting a really good handbag this winter. Zara do some really good quality bags and I've had my eyes on these for quite some time. I'm definitely getting ONE of them this winter.

13.Yankee Candles (Christnas Eve)
Photobucket

I get crazy over scented candles. I really do! Yankee candles are by far my favourites and I always take a sniff of them when I'm at Public. I am going as far as purchasing a large jar this December in Christmas Eve. Don't like the price (about 20E or something), but they last quite a long time.

***pictures are not my own, they were taken from Google Images

So this was my 'long' wishlist for this Christmas. Go and check out Evi's wishlist as well, it's lovely!

What about your Christmas wishlist? Do you have any products that are listed in my wishlist too? Let me know girls!!!
